A very handsome and good quality set of five Regency mahogany dining chairs (including one carver) each with a moulded cross back centred by a turned roundel set between a curved top rail and two narrower bottom rails supported by reeded uprights, over a drop in seat, each upholstered in 36 Bourne Street leather, raised on square tapered front legs and plain out-swept back legs united by stretchers. The carver with high reeded arms terminating in an elegant curve supported by turned uprights. English, circa 1820
